Biography of an artist

Berni was born in St. Peter's, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. After living abroad and in various areas in Canada, she chose to return to the land of her Scottish ancestors.

Nestled in the hills overlooking the picturesque Bras D'Or Lakes is "Gallery Ruairicroft." Come visit the gallery if you're ever in the area. Berni would love to see you!

Berni enjoys organizing tutorial art ceilidhs customized for groups or individuals.

Berni received her Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts at Concordia University, in Montreal. Her work belongs in private collections in Europe, America and throughout Canada. Several of her paintings are with the Atlantic Lotto Permanent Collection.
